In the Scottish Highlands, environmentalists, hospitality industry players, and whisky distillers are fighting to save pearl mussels from extinction through an unlikely method: planting trees. Produced for BBC Travel. Won first place in the Society of American Travel Writers Foundation Lowell Thomas Travel Journalism Competition.
